Ardennes II

Great map graphics, lots of color for ridges, forests, clear, rough, rivers. Very nicely executed. Counters are well marked and make good use of color to distinguish corps and divisions. Luftwaffe troops in nice appropriate light blue, with panzers in a grey-black.

The maps cover a LOT of ground, so perhaps upgrading them to larger hexes, and the counters also upsided to 5/8" may not work well. The use of 1/2" encounters with a lot of info on them makes them hard to read without "cheaters" or a magnifying glass for those of us well into middle age or later. The rather numerous counters won't fit a standard counter tray -- needs two unless you use those thin wafer-sized ones that are available from some sources.

Rule books have a nice "hand" or finish to them, very smooth. Should perhaps shed the errant coffee/soda spill. Very typical -- meaning excellent -- MMP Gamer's compilation of the rules.
